My name is Kris Knochelmann*, and I am the owner of Schneller Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning. In 1928, Rudy Schneller and his wife Jean started this business, and they established standards for their company and gave the business its reputation for customer service. I learned these same principles working for my father, John Knochelmann* in his business during my high school years.
It was at his side where I learned about treating customers with integrity and always providing quality workmanship. These are the principles that continue to drive Schneller, and Jean and her daughter are still customers to this day.
In 1991, I was fortunate to be able to partner with my brothers and brother-in-law to purchase my father’s business. I worked in the office as a Dispatcher, Service Manager, and finally, for the past 13 years, as a General Manager. In 1997, I was part of our family group that sold our old business to a corporate chain that became part of Service Experts.
I worked to grow that business and provide excellent customer service to an expanding customer base. Over the last several years, things began to change, and in early 2011 my position was eliminated. I was asked to take a job that required less interaction with customers and coworkers. With 48 hours to decide, it was time for me to move on and I decided to leave the only organization I had ever worked for.
That change has led to Schneller. Through a friend at church, I found out they were looking for a buyer, and I was looking for a place to call home. I purchased the company in April, 2011. Since then, almost 20 staff members from my old company have joined, as well as many of my family members.
They came because we all shared the same belief: that customers should always come first and be treated with integrity. I am proud to carry on the tradition of the Schneller family, whom I’ve grown to know and respect. I hope you allow us to continue the great service they have been providing for your family.
I am no longer associated with Knochelmann* Service Experts, and as the owner of Schneller, an 87 year old company, I commit to you 100% satisfaction or You Won’t Pay! I am joined in my new company by my brothers John Jr. and Pete, my previous service manager Clay Hager, my nephews John, Tom, Corbin and Kevin, my most senior tech Rick, three of my previous installation crews, and two of my previous customer service representatives.
